Thankful

It's Thanksgiving week, I can't believe how time flies. But life is good and I have so much to be thankful for. Do you ever wonder when something bad will happen in your life cause you are too blessed. Don't get me wrong, I am happy but really my life is pretty perfect and it always makes me wonder how I can be so lucky. Carter is at such a fun age. The other day after it snowed we went out in our snow gear and slipped and slide on the trampoline. Then we threw snow at each other and really belly laughed as we played. There is no better noise in the world than your child's genuine laughter. And today it was such a nice day we went and jumped and played on the trampoline, that isn't new I always go jump or play with him, he is just fun though. Delany is starting to smile a lot and to talk. It melts my heart when her eyes light up when she sees me and smiles and talks to me. I have two amazing kids and I feel so blessed. Not to leave out my amazing husband. I really choose an amazing guy. He is thoughtful and kind and loves to play with our kids. He works hard and plays hard when he comes home. I have everything I could ever ask for. This morning as Carter and I were eating breakfast he asked if we could read the scriptures. And then he was asking about what we were reading. He knows they are teaching us about the Savior and I love that he wants to read them.
So here are some of the recent pictures I have taken recently.
Here is Delany at 6 weeks.
Carter doing his favorite thing, holding Delany and being a great big brother!

Here is Delany at 10 weeks. She has filled out to a whooping 9 lbs.
My cute girl!
Here she is a few weeks ago when we were in St. George. She slept for the whole car ride down and was a great traveler. I enjoyed the warm sunshine while we were there.
We went and hiked the red rocks. That is one of the things I love about St. George. Carter did great till the end, then he wanted Jim to piggy back him.
Best buddies! Love my boys!
It was twice as hot for me carrying Delany, but I loved being outside and enjoyed the hike.
He is trying to push the rock, I love his faces.
Amazing scenery!

Here is Lany's jailbird outfit! I have searched everywhere for tights that fit and can't find any to fit her skinny legs.
Carter holding his little sister. He calls her all the names I do, Baby girlzes, Little missy, Lanny Lou. It's so cute. He gets in her face all the time and he LOVES her.
He asks to hold her!
He drags her around to where he is and wants her to be by him.

We was waiting to burp her. "I need to burp Lany!"
He wants her to lay by him. And she loves her brother. He sings to her in the car and worries when she cries. He just loves having her in our house.
We love this little girl! Love my family!

6 weeks

Carter is a BIG helper. He doesn't like to see Delany cry. He can give her the soother. He also likes to drag this rocker around to move her where he is. He sings to her in the car when she cries. He has to be touching her....somtimes he loves her a little too much. Heaven help her.
He loved his Jack-o-lantern. He is getting big enough to understand more about holidays. He doesn't like any movies other than cars because they scare him, but he loves talking about spooky things. It is funny.

We went to the Pumpkin walk with some friends. The scenes are amazing and a lot of them were old school. Like Cabbage Patch kids....and others I can't think of at the moment.

Grandma happened to be the witch that day so it worked out perfect. I am not sure Carter knew what to think seeing Grandma dressed up.

He loves Mickey Mouse!

Babies and their Soosoos.

Grandpa Hickman and Delany hanging out!

Baby girl starting to smile a lot! Love it!

Church for baby girl.

Everyone always comments about how small she is and how much hair she has. With Carter it was his eyes and eye lashes.

Chilling on the grass after church. What a character! Sometimes he cracks me up, sometimes I want to strangle him.

We painted and decorated some Halloween decorations.

Carter wanted to be an M&M, so here he is. I was a little lazy with costumes and doing a family theme this year. I will do better next year. Carter had a fever Halloween day anyway, so we didn't do much. Daddy did take him to a few houses but he doesn't even eat the candy so I'm not sure why we go.

My two cute M&M's. Happy Halloween!

No more hammock this year, sad!

Not sad for Carter. He ready to shovel and play in the snow. I bought him new boots the other day and he has worn them around the house the last few nights. Funny kid.

Our neighbor must have seen our pathetic hat because she brought Carter a snowman kit with hat, scarf, nose, and buttons. So nice of her. Carter will have fun building lots of snowmen this year. He has a great dad that plays with him. His snowman fell over and the carrot nose went missing, he thinks a bunny came and ate it. I love these boys!

Baby girl

Sleepy babies are the sweetest! Delany is a good girl, other than the gassyness.

Look at that perfect face! Our angel!

Carter has to lay on her playmat any time I put Lany on it. She likes watching and listening to him. He has tried to drag her off the mat a few times by her feet. So helpful! He loves his little sister.

Grandma is the best! Love her and so does Delany!

So glad some of my family could be here for her blessing. The dress was a bit big on her but it worked. She looked like she had angel wings.

Aunts are the best.

Happy family!

Cousins are the best too! Carter has so much fun with the Alands when they come.

Angel Baby!

The after party! Thanks to our friends and family that were there.
Carter loves music. Singing and playing instruments. And he is a little ham!

Daddy bonding!
Carter loves having his picture taken and taking pictures. He is getting so big.

Ready for the cold. She looks like a ski bunny. (someday)

Carter's art work. He was so proud!
