Kindergarten

HCarter is in kindergarten! He was a little nervous because of how big the class is...I think because I have told him he has to do things by himself because the teacher can't help all the kids like in preschool. But I am not worried that he will love it and be fine. I worked with him this summer on writing and letters and sounds. If he can insure me, then he will be fine in kindergarten. I am hard on him sometimes and I am trying not to be. Trying to be more patient and positive. And not damage him too much.
He is excited about school. It's like Heavenly Father is holding my hand from above and just taking care of every little detail so I don't worry. We moved just in time for him to go to a school where all my teacher friends teach. And his kindergarten teacher happens to be Carrie Wirthlins, who I graduated BYU with and lived with in California. She moved here the same summer I got married and now is Carter's teacher. Crazy how things work out.
We got two kittens a week ago for an early birthday present for Delany. She loves animals and I hope they survive her love. They endure a lot with her. But they are fun to have and we love them. Carter named his Russell and Delany named hers Spike. Spike is more outgoing and friendly than Russell.

Russell must have realized Carter was going to school cause he followed him around this morning. Carter is very conscious and is so careful to follow the rules. He has such a big heart. He loves riding his bike and playing with friends.
At his desk. Can't wait to hear all about his first day.
Delany usually has a hand on her kitty or is carrying it around. She is finally starting to get potty trained....I hope. She loves animals and is not shy at all with anyone. Some funny things she is doing now. Sometimes she will call me mompa, like mom and grandpa combined. She does it to be funny. She also made up a word, okamocha, which can be used in many different ways. "I want my okamocha shake!" "Hi okamocha momma." So is so fun. She has a tender heart that is hidden by her outgoing personality. I told her she was doing a good job on something and she said, " I can do it t hanks to my mommy!" She is so smart and fun. Her hands and face and sometimes body are always dirty.
She asks to go to Canada everyday cause she wants to ride grandpas horses. Old ginger and old briar, is what she calls them. She loves and misses her Canada grandma and grandpa too.
Love these kids of mine. They are pretty great!
